      Gambling: Luck or Skills?

Gambling nowadays already become as a social recreation to some people. It often marks ur social status in life, if you gamble it sometime means you have money to waste though this is always not true. But despite the name "gamble", is gambling pure luck or it's a skill?

Gambling is not just about skill or luck. It's the combination of both luck and skill at the same time. Like in betting, you should have knowledge about what you're betting on and do some analysis before betting in a game or a match but at the same time, luck is needed as well since things could turn out to be unexpected sometimes.

I think it's depend on where you gambling..
If you are playing poker games, it will need luck and skills..
With this you can win even if you only have bad cards on your hand..

Because in slot, you just can't predict, and likewise the casino games, sometimes,it's skill talking, but mostly,i think it's playing it at the right minute,in the right place and at the right time, since barely a seconds can make you lose or win.right now, i have loss my $9.36 to casino game, but will i leave it,no! I'll still try my luck again,do you see that,it's purely luck, but combination of skill and luck makes one the luckest and most profitable gambler.

Gambling is 90% about luck. The skills is only to understand how the games go. We can only minimize the risk by counting the probabilty of the result. After all, it is the Luck!!

Gambling is about both luck and skill, and a good combination of patience and courage. I know it well because mostly I lost when I lost the patience and be more courageous. lol. I think it's just the same with all kind of gambling games. Good luck, good skill, and good combination of patience and courage, that's what gambling is all about.

Well, I read every strategy about casino games...the roulette, baccarat, craps, war etc. and then decided to start playing. I found a large list of casinos offering no deposit bonuses. Till now, I shot all chances to win and guess what...I didn't. Casino is not about skills. Sometimes, it i even not a game of luck. You know, casinos can cheat you in a variety of ways. Your lost money is their profit.

I've read some of the rules of some casinos and it seemed that it was designed to take all the money deposited with little or very little chance of cashing it out on the winning position. Must win big most the times to be able to cash out from casinos and this doesn't seem possible.

Yes, it's true! A few casinos offer bonus on deposit worth 3000-4000% of the bonus amount. I deposited to try one of them and inseat of $20, I played with $600 but lost everything. The funds must be wagered only on slots and keno. These games don't have any strategy required. It's just luck.

I guessed so. I don't know what keno is, but it's impossible to beat the slot. It might be possible if the funds were wagered on poker or others of this kind, but if the casinos only allowed wagering on the luck games, no way to win. And I wonder if every casino set the wagering only on the luck games...?

The only skill to overcome the luck on the gambling is the skill to cheat. If you can cheat on gambling, like on casino, or online (with being expert on computer), then you can beat your luck!!

That's a good idea. lol. And speaking of this I've Been wondering if they set up the games they have to give bad more than the good luck. It happened with the poker machines here in the past. Offline poker machine. And slots too.

No skill can overcome luck.. Even the percentage and chance to win is 99%, but if you have no luck, so you will be in the 1% position, which is LOST!!.
      This is happened many times!!

That's right. The last news I heard about such was the soccer. I'm not sure what clubs or nations on bet , but as most people put their bets on the most likely to win team, it happened the other way around. Though it seemed doctored ( we used to say so when we saw the result was far from our prediction), it was still luck.

I think gambling is more about luck. Skills do matter but not as our luck. Gambling is unpredictable. We just bet our luck there. What happens is all unknown. We leave it upon our faith to decide our fate. So I think gambling is more about luck rather than skills.

I think gambling is base on luck only. If you're in good luck you can make a good prediction but when bad luck come you need to stop gambling or you can lose all your money. But I find some book that say we can predict cards on poker and blackjack game, but I don't it is true or not cause I think it is very hard to predict cards which has been shuffle.

Gambling needs both luck and skill. The element of luck is more needed in winning a bet.
Human Intelligence factor plays a side role in winning bets. These HI factor must be sharp enough to notice changes and order of patterns of the outcomes of an event. But this intelligence factor just increases the probability of winning to more that 50%. It doesn't mean that an intelligent person should always be a winner.

P.S. As a matter of fact, Intelligent people do not gamble
