Gambling: Luck or Skills?

I think we need skill plus luck.
We can't win if we don't know how to play the games and gambling (need skill)
We also can't win if we always have bad card combination because it only waste our money (need luck)

If you are talking about poker, I believe that the skills matter a lot more than the luck factor. Maybe, if you are going to play only one day than the luck can give you the results, but if you want to be a professional poker player then you need to have skills, bankroll manegement and patience. I mean, is just see that the winners are always pretty much the same players, so, it can't be just luck.

I can not say that. Because the skill in gambling is only to give the limit and to make our choice narrower, so we can get more chance to win. But, in final we still have to use our luck to win.
That is why we call it gambling..

I would say it depends on the kind of game you play. For card game like poker, blackjack, baccarat and so on, you need both skills and luck -- with the balance toward the skill part rather than luck part. For games like dice, roullette, there might be skills involve, but I don't know and cannot imagine what kind of skill you could use there. For lottery, skill has no place at all.

well for sport betting it really boils down to skill and information as luck also comes into play but it really boils down to information at hand as after that can one decide to give it to luck

When it comes to card games, I would say 60% luck and 40% skills. Skills come in when you try to intimidate or psyche up your opponent. For example, in poker, you can outbet an opponent and hope that he/she folds. But all in all, gambling for me, is more on luck.

well that is poker as i agree with you as it is whatever the game gives you that is what you can present as to me i feel that in sport betting that information matters a lot as you need to know who is injured and who is not and all of that as it does not depend heavily of luck like other gambling

Gambling is a combination of luck & skill depending on the type of game. The easier the game, the less skill that may actually be required, however the odds are then greatly increased. That is where luck & following your dreams and/or signs come into play. Its always a game of chance....

Gambling is a matter of both skills and luck.As for sports betting,there is little or no skills in it,thereby your winnings is by luck.And as for poker and roulette,much skills is really needed,unlike other gambling like head or tail and lottery where your winnings are determined by luck.Gambling to me is by LUCK.

In gambling i think it depends upon the game whether we need luck or skills. If it is simple than people without skills can also win it by it luck. but if it is game with needs lots of skills than luck cannot do anything. But in my case both help me to win the game.

Yeah .. gamblinhg is not totally a luck. you can even win some gambling using your skill as well. For eg. hearts, call break etc. gambling is unpredictable piece of game really.

depends what type of gambling you are doing? if u are doing toss, then it is pure luck, or online casino, that is pure cheating. , but if you would do football or some other sports, excluding horse race then it is about skill. or go to casino and count cards( just make sure casino people willn't find u counting, then u have to count ur luck badly).
