I'm not an expert but I'm enjoying adsense payout and I believe you guys can do it too. I started focusing on blogging last 2009. By 2010 I'm earning few hundreds $$ then by 2011 I finally hit 1kUSD++ monthly. My highest payout for a month so far was $1,454. well it's always been a fact that earning a reasonable income with google adsense requires a lot of traffic. another most important factor is the quality of content on your site, this ensures that the visitors will keep coming back whether or not you update frequently or not.
So my advise for you @trisha is just focus on content and seo, both are all you need now, cos i too have a google adsense account and at first my earnings was very low but after i dedicated my time into increasing the quality and quantity of my contents i saw a rapid increase in clicks.
