Facebook is a website that provides free social network. Opened on February 4, 2004, owned and operated by a private company "Facebook, Inc" based in Silicon Valley, California, USA.

Users of social network are grouped according to geographical location, occupation, education, and other interests. Each user chooses what information to enter for yourself, and what groups or individuals may have access to it. Communication between users in the network is done in many ways, including sending personal messages, calls for participation in events, share photos, text, hyperlinks, Video extracts, create and participate in interest groups, comparing the results of tests, participation in various game.

In early 2011 the number of users Facebook has 800 million people to 600 million a year earlier.

I did not know that facebook was established in 2004.I came to know about facebook only in 2008.And I heard that it took a lot of time to spread worldwide because the founder established this site to work in his college only for the first time.And only the people of this college used the site and slowly the site is what it is now.

Yes i heard of it recently.This is a brilliant hacker for sure to have hacked out the personal photos of the founder himself.this shows that the site is not that secure.

yes similar to you I thought that facebook was established just around 3-4 years ago.As i started this site about the same time around 2008.And 2004 is truly quite back than we have though it to be.

2004 is the real, though 2008 was the time when it started to become popular in 2008 Facebook was really popular to my country already, that is also the year when i started using Facebook, i don't have plan actually because i am not that active in social networking site but because Friendster just gone then i also create an account in here.
