Re: How much capital that you used in trading?
Using the maximum and minimum capital depends upon the size of lots, you want to open.If you want to open the lot of $10, so you should have at least $50 in you r account to support your position for a long time if floating into loss.If talk about me, so I have invest around $400 from my own pocket, and so far I am able to make good profits and save myself from any kind of margin call...

Re: How much capital that you used in trading?
How much capital we must have will depend on the type of account that we have opened, the leverage that we are on and the amount of lots that we plan on using.
the more leverage we have, the lesser the amount that we will need to trade a particular volume. I opened a micro account and I used 0.2 lot size with 50 dollars. My leverage was 1:50.

Re: How much capital that you used in trading?
If you are trading with big lots in presence of small capital, so you should keep the maximum leverage in order to avoid the margin call from saving the loss. With leverage of 50, your required margin will be $40, which means that, you have only $10 free margin, and if the market went against your position for only 50mpips, so you will receive the margin call.SO, it is not good strategy to use such low leverage...

Re: How much capital that you used in trading?
I have 2 accounts that contain more than 400 dollars each. I use them for trading. It saves me a lot of stress and risks if i use a bigger balance because it gives me enough margin to make the necessary profits.

Re: How much capital that you used in trading?
I do not agree that using a high leverage will save one from having a margin call. Infact, reverse is the case. And for my data. I made a mistake. Just like I said, there are times that I traded 2 microlots (which by the way is 0.02lot and not 0.2 as i stated previously). Again i funded $250 and not $50.

Re: How much capital that you used in trading?
If you don't agree, so I can't say any thing more.Otherwise, I always favor to use the high leverage, because not only I can open the biggest lots .But I still can open new positions even if my margin is running in negative figures, which is not possible in low leverages.

Re: How much capital that you used in trading?
And that is where I fear using high leverage. I know most people who use high leverage will also want to use the biggest lost and that is where the problem is. Yes, if it is possible for you to control yourself and use only very small lots with high leverage, that will of course be better than using low leverage. If that is possible, i.e one can have the control to use small lot sizes with high leverage, then I can will agree with you that high leverage is good for avoiding a margin call.

Re: How much capital that you used in trading?
Yes, it's good to deposit $100 for starting point as your capital and $50 is still good enough in my view. The most important thing which you should pay attention, don't target too high in a transaction because you could lose high too. It's important to make realistic target and adjust it with your capital.

Re: How much capital that you used in trading?
50 dollars is actually very good amount that a beginner in forex exchange trading. It can help us to risk a small amount and at the same time we will lose only a little amount in the event of a loss or margin call. We can invest more money when we have better strategies.

Re: How much capital that you used in trading?
yes, a moderate initial investment capital is sufficient to test in the real trading market as unnecessary risk taking may turn to heavy loss .One have to be sure and confident about the strategies they are making and according to those, the amount of investment should be fixed up.It though varies from person to person.

Re: How much capital that you used in trading?
For last few weeks, I have stopped investing money from my own pocket, because I have won some nice contests in IFX with good amount of prizes.I have observed after trading with big capital that, our profits will also be larger if we deposit more and more money. But, only investing more money is not guarantee. But, having trading skills and experience are also combined with the big capitals for making big profits..

Re: How much capital that you used in trading?
That's good if you could win the demo contest in IFX but it's not easy to win that. From my experience, I never won the contest although I could gain good amount of profits. People who took part in the contest are good in trading too so if we don't trade well and consistent then it will be hard to win the contest.

Re: How much capital that you used in trading?
You are making getting interested in this IFX demo contest. But i am sure you must be very good at trading to be able to win such an amount. Or are there usually few contestants. It is a really nice way to get some cool capitals to trade without using your own money. $500 is cool enough to start trading with as long as they do not have any restrictions on the type of account that you can trade with.

Re: How much capital that you used in trading?
If anyone is really skillful, there is no harm to play the demo contests as $500 is really a good amount and which is also very difficult to earn from trading Forum bonus .Actually i never invested so high amount from my bank account.I feel that to compete in such demo contests,it needs experience and skill as nowadays all the experts are trying this.

Re: How much capital that you used in trading?
It depends on whether the trader in question is a new trader or an experienced one. For aa new trader, I'd recommend that the trader starts with $50 while the experienced trader can start off with $1,000. The reason for the different amounts is because of the different knowledge bases of the new and experienced traders.

Re: How much capital that you used in trading?
I would also make the same recommendation and in addition, the trader should trade on the micro account where the losses are not that serious enough to blow up the trading account.

Re: How much capital that you used in trading?
Hmm, I havent invest or have put capital in any forex broker so far. But then it is good as deposit already. So far, I think I already tried to have 10-20 dollars trading but then the fact that it is not good in any strategies that I am using so better to increase it and most of the strategies will work and will be profitable for me.

Re: How much capital that you used in trading?
A trader should not try to invest a lot of capital when the trading career is about to begin. A trader should start small and then follow the compounding principle until large gains are realized and then the trader can decide to add more funds or just keep compounding.
