Re: I received a fake emai using liberty reserve
You recieving phising email about liberty reserve is enough to startle you, that should be enough to send the wrong signal into your brain that your liberty reserve is no longer secured enough, you should renew your password and login details.,

Re: I received a fake emai using liberty reserve
Just send that phishing email in your spam folder. Sooner or later you will not going to get phishing email in your inbox. But just make sure that you don't put legit email from LR to spam folder also. As you will end up receiving legit email in your spam folder also.
that's why I'm also careful in sending emails directly to spam folders.

Re: I received a fake emai using liberty reserve
Yeah, thats right what i does to such mails is deleting it,i don't wait sending it into the spam folder as it could possibly affect other mails, such mails do come with exactly the address of the original address so its usually hard at times to know but if we click on it and open it we might know.

Re: I received a fake emai using liberty reserve
Well i have not yet received these mails into my mail account that i used to open my payment processor account at anytime but if eventually i receive such mails i will have to delete them at ones without waste of time.I think the main thing that made me not to be receiving such mails is because i had a special mail for my payment processor account.

Re: I received a fake emai using liberty reserve
It's good to know that you know it as fake as I guess there are just few people who falls with such emails first it will be on your spam email so that time you will surely suspect that it was not a genuine email at all. I don't read my mails with my spam because that is all trash, just checking that when I registered with some program.

Re: I received a fake emai using liberty reserve
Its very simple to identify those fake mails as there url isn't the same as that of the original libertyreserve url, though without properly checking of our address bar we might fall victim to such scammers.

Re: I received a fake emai using liberty reserve
That's when we log in we need to double check the URL because it's not because the site looks genuine that doesn't mean it's the real one, remember it can be easily faked. That's why those simple stuff must be keep in our minds.

Re: I received a fake emai using liberty reserve
Not even when we log in,checking the url is important mostly when we are trying to invest with a hyip because some hyips might be just scammers or hackers, well,i don't believe that such cheap scammers can get me.

Re: I received a fake emai using liberty reserve
And that is why i always advice people to keep their email and login details of both their emails and liberty reserves, there are lots of hackers who do would want to use your login details to hack into your account.

Re: I received a fake emai using liberty reserve
My three simple rules.
Have active antivirus and malware checker.
Have email exclusive to your LR account.
Have fix ISP address if your using your LR account.
This is the main line defense against hackers. Because theirs no way a hacker can withdraw your funds unless he knows how to hijack your isp address also.

Re: I received a fake emai using liberty reserve
In this past few months, I have seen again starting to create different phishing emails related to LR. Even I have put and some are automatic in spam still I'm seeing so much fake emails. That's why I'm really careful now to just report spam those emails.
-
Re: I received a fake emai using liberty reserve
Mostly are from hyips they are the programme that does it worse i have different email id that do send me phising mails parphaps i already report them as spam so that does not bother me any longer so they should keep on sending as i can't fall a prey.

Re: I received a fake emai using liberty reserve
Fake emails and the URL are seems to be the problem these days. I am sure that there are people who are not much earning from theses type of surces. I think it all depends on how the people are considering the fake email as genuine. they need to be educated or else we are all going to lose the money sooner or later. that is for sure.

Re: I received a fake emai using liberty reserve
There is one strict rule about e-currency, it is that they never ask for your private information. I think their victims are those who are new to the internet. Any internet literate knows that a legit e-currency doesn't ask for private info since they have it. I have been receiving fake emails on my email account that I use in HYIPs but I wont even open them.

Re: I received a fake emai using liberty reserve
Well i have received the mail in my yahoomail ones but i have not received the mail in my Gmail account for the first time and i believe that Gmail do filter all of the Scam mails and even the spam mails and that is really a good thing that my gmail is stopping those spam mails from my account.
-
Re: I received a fake emai using liberty reserve
Even yahoo stops spam mails too but these pesky fake email just gets ways to enter the inbox of your email. The best thing to do is that you do not open emails from liberty reserve if you are not expecting anything from them. I just open mails from them incase of verification purposes and I also added their email address to my contacts so that I will know that it is the true LR that emailed me. Just be wise and you will not get scammed.

Re: I received a fake emai using liberty reserve
Well i have received those spam mails ones in email account but all i did was tto delete them and nothing more happened.I think the best thing that our mailing site have to do have more security beef up that even spam mails should not enter our account in anyway. Not even the ones that they have hiden the links.
