Is it still working I thought it seized its operations due to some money laundry issues :
Here are some details and you can find them on wiki aswell.

In 2007 the proprietors of the e-gold service were indicted by the United States Department of Justice on four counts of violating money laundering regulations. In July 2008 the company and its three directors pleaded guilty to charges of "conspiracy to engage in money laundering" and the "operation of an unlicensed money transmitting business" in the U.S. District Court for D.C.[1] The company faces fines of $3.7 million.

As of November 2009 the company's website states "As e-gold Users are aware, by agreement with relevant authorities including the U.S. Department of Justice, e-gold has suspended all e-metal Spend activity subject to meeting certain licensing requirements. As a result, e-gold Users have been unable to engage in any transactions, including exchanges, that would require either receiving or making an e-metal Spend from the accounts they control. We are, however, working diligently to develop a means by which account Owners will be able to access the value in their account".[2]

But having said that I have lost my E-gold account and it got suspended when it happened and they never reopened it.

I don't know lol i don't even use E-Gold but I still thought I should post a feedback thread here for those who did use it or do use it depending if it is still their after reading your post.

lol I just checked it the site is there in its place. But I wonder whether its active or not. As you can see in the forums and PTC or HYIP sites they no longer accept E-gold and some 2 years ago E-gold was everywhere and it was one of the most fast and cheapest online currency. It was my first online account aswell and I earned plenty with it so no hard feelings apart from it got banned and it was too easy to hack it as my account once got hacked in it and I lost about $10.00 from it not that big but they were early days

Maybe it is gone I don't know haha just glad I never use dit. Don't like these weird payment processor things I'd rather stick to my normal ones like Paypal and Alertpay.

Yes its easy for others but for the people who lives in the countries where Paypal is not available the have to rely on these payment methods Alertpay is good too and available worldwide but their fees is much higher than any other payment processor.

Alertpay fees are high yes but it is a very easy and simple payment processor to use. Maybe if they lowered their fees a little more people would use them which would make them more money.

Yes it would be great if they lower the fees and also if they lower the lower limit of amount to be transacted that is $1.00 at the moment... I guess plenty of people will divert towards it and it might become the next best thing after Paypal or even better as its available worldwide...

Yeah that would actually be really good but I think minimum is $1 because people cheat in PayPal because their is no minimum sending and that's why PayPal is not worldwide. So if Alertpay went lower than $1 I say that they would not be worldwide anymore.

How it will become cheat if it gets lower than $1.00?
Liberty Reserves and old payment processors like E-Gold also dealt in less than $1.00
and they are/were worldwide aswell.

Yeah but they are not very big payment processors and Liberty Reserve gets ots of accounts hacked more than anyother that explains the cheating going on. Liberty Reserve is soo insecure.

Really? Well I haven't had any idea about that ... So the liberty reserve is just same like E-gold aswell very vulnerable to the hackers? So what other payment method is good enough thats available worldwide and have the features and security of paypal or alertpay and ofcourse with less fees aswell...

None of them. Only PayPal and Alertpay are the secure ones the other ones are very vulnerable to hackers like you said and would not recommend them.

I don't have any issue with libertyreserve and perfectmoney which i just signed up for yesterday.I will say here that alertpay is good but thus that mean that the fact they are not accepting payment lower than $1 made them so popular ? I don't agree to that.

Lol yea right very secure today I logged in my Alertpay and just checking to send payment option and than I realized that I forgot my Transaction Pin and when I got to 2 questions wheewww I forgot their answers aswell as I was going back after few years so none of my tries were fruitful ...
So now do I have to send a support ticket in order to get back the Tpin ...

The same thing happened to me.Infact,i forgot the questions and answers and the transaction pin of the alertpay account i am using right now.All i did was get in tough with the officials of this company and they responded almost immediately.I got them changed and since then,i never had problem with my account.I will advice you write them a support ticket.If they are not too busy,you will get response from them in time.They will surely help you in getting your account back.

I have sent a ticket lets see how much it will take to get them back to me I hope they will reply as fast as they can as I am planning to join few cyclers ... Lets see whether my luck changes or remain constant with the word = bad

You should be able to get response from them today.I never had the experience of delayed response from them.Even on weekends,they do reply to messages fast.

maybe egold should make cooperation with many of make money online program such as forex, hyip, ptc and others, to get back their previous popularity. maybe its difficult because there is already some of processor who already settled previously but I thinks there's no wrong to do.

Hey,Egold is done and gone.There is no coming back.No miracle can bring them back.The only way i see they can resurface is through another name or form.If that can happen,it will be a welcome development but as Egold,Huba.It is not possible.
