Generally speaking, when these economic data come out stronger than expected, then it is a buy for the currency of that country. everyday, always there are news data appear about current economic situation and trader cannot ignore it because these news give impact to the market. there is 3 classify of impact, first is high impact, second is medium impact and third is low impact. you only need to be aware with high impact news because surely it will change the face of market sentiment.

news in forex trading is the release of a country's economic releases is generally used is the USA where if the release is generally positive aakn usa dollar rises and if it rises then other curency will automatically go down as the number of unemployed in the usa will make the dollar down and going membut other curency rise with the economy in a news release this we can do open either long or short positions.
