that is not true. you can have high traffic and low pr. most of the sites which are getting traffic from faceboko and pinterest are not getting high pr. so that assumption of google pr is useless. pr is just for show off which has nothing to do with traffic. pr and alexa ranks are useless.

I would agree with the traffic. Massive traffic means increased potential visits to your website. But the higher the website's rankings more are the chances of visitors to that site.

pagerank is not equal to ranking on the search engine. you can be pr 0 and have high ranking on saerch. you can be pr 7 and have no rank on search engine. i guess many users here are not aware of this simple fact. this is the rason many have no idea about what to pick.

I think the Page Rank on Google is much better here than the Traffic actually. Because good Page Rank here can bring good traffic as we know here. But, both things are connected each other here and help each other here.

how is page rank calculated? I'm new on this field and i've going through all the post and i understand that traffic is important. I want to understand more how page rank is calculated because i would admit i have the same assumption that pagerank means you will be at the top of search results.

Between page rank and the traffic i think traffic in the web is most important. As more the traffic the page rank will be improved. Even when you sell the products or services via the web then its necessary to have the lost of traffic in the web which can help to succeed you goal

I agree with you that traffic is more important than page rank but we can sale our site in high price if the page rank is high. The site can be sold in high price if the number of visitor or traffic is more. Traffic is must needed in the site because traffic helps to make the site popular in the world. So they work hand in but with traffic coming first and then the page ranking being determined from there, What is a website without traffic anyway since no one will see the content/products that you are trying to market and therefore no revenue for the site. I would concentrate on bringing traffic as a priority.
