tagged photos where you're not included

Sometimes our friends tagged us to photos that we are not even there. How do you feel about that guys?

I already experienced that. At first, I'm curious why they tagged me on that picture even I'm not on the picture. When I asked my friend, he said that it is only a mistake.

I experienced it so many times. Most of my friends outing pics that i'm not able to attend to. But i realized that they just tagged me their photos so that i will see how happy they are. Because if photos were not tagged , i am not able to see it and put a comment on it.

Well it happens,maybe when i'm not around when the pictures was taken or with friends that lives far away from me,i might get tagged with or without them and it makes me happy to know that i'm still remembered

They just want to share those happy moments they have experienced. And sometimes they tagged us for business purposes. Some products or business online. They knew that most people are on facebook. It will be easy for them to recruit some people to help them .

If people want to share their happy moments with us on facebook they should just upload pictures to their album without tagging us. These pictures will appear in our newsfeeds so we will know about them.

I dont mind tagging for business purposes, since it increases exposure for your products and services and can even be seen by friends of the person you tagging(Assuming default setting has not been changed). Just dont tag me willy nilly for no good reason.

There are people who tag photos to their friends even if they are not part of the picture because they want to promote their products. Since, if you are tagged it is also shown to your friends so if you are not interested your friends might be interested. That's why online shops gain lots of customers because the market is really wide and worldwide especially if you have friends from different countries.

Yes i undertsand them if they are doing it for business purposes. Some pictures are not easily seen when you're wall is flooded. I can't view what they are updating especially when it is at the lowest part. That's why they tagged us to be able to see it and comment on it. This is only my point of view.

Well its no much big deal,i must say facebook is an Avenue for them to promot any sorth of their products and all i would chip in as an Advice is that we should not be careful with most of them on clicking their links or tending to buy from them as they might be scammers.

@thread starter do you mean that how will we feel when we are been tagged to a photo we never appeared on?well if thats the question then i must tell you that it isn't a must for us to appear on a particular picture before we are been tagged on it.well as of me i will not feel bad but happy.

It's depend if your sister or mother is in the picture then that's just ok.. but if it's Group picture when obviously you were not on that picture so, it's no used.. I will feel kinda nothing but i will just removed that tagged picture and that's all.

i have subscribed to mobile updates and whenever my friends tag me in some pics .I immediately receive updates that you have been tagged by this or that person and i immediately take a look on my mobile when i am away that what i have been tagged in .Thats how it is.

I am very alright with that. I am actually happy when people tag myself onto a photo. I very much like it. What I dislike is me not being included in the photo. Let's say, someone puts up a southpark photo and I'm not included, I am not happy with it at all.

I believe every picture tags has the very purpose for it,maybe there's some reasons relating both the person that did the tag and the person been tagged on the picture and if on my opinion all i will do is to show some appreciations for that.

Thank you. The next thing when people get to your wall or view your albums they are full of pictures that are of no use to you and they even end distracting them from your content. I dont mind the occasional tagging to take advantage of my friend list to promote yourself. Some people can spam you until you remove them completely.

It depends on the photos, If it is an invitation for sure your not in there, but if they will tag you a photo of group of people then you are not there and it doesn't have any connection to you of course I will feel bad and I will remove the tag, Sometimes people tag you because they think you will like the photo that they tag.!

Everyone is entitled to their opinion and have different likes and dislikes i guess. i only have around 160 friends but already feel the impact of unnecesary tags on my wall. if this was not a concern facebook would have not changed that in the setting to allow for tagging or not.

I feel angry sometimes. I question them if what is the point of tagging me in the photo. I do not care about it. I am happy that Facebook improved their tagging feature now. I can now cancel those pictures wherein I was tagged in.
