Facebook Likes Helping Your Seo?

I was just wondering about the importance of getting facebook likes for the SEO of your website. I don't think it is disputed how important they are, however, what is the significance of facebook likes to your website.

Facebook’s Open Graph has many advantages, and the potential to generate quality traffic to your website is among them. It is pretty straightforward as far is the like feature is concerned. In a sense, this particular button is quite similar to the social sharing buttons site owners have been using to drive traffic for a while now.

Facebook pages does drive the traffic to the site. I have very few success with the shared stuff and the likes. By likes i get some shared traffic which i considered as good. I have also seen some sharing stuff on page and some facebook group. So overall i think facebook likes and shares have some positive impact. Not in terms of SEO but in terms of traffic from facebook and bing.

if you're on wordpress you'll notice that the most uploadable plugins and had a lot of good ratings are those facebook related plugins,because the new search engine bots algorithm put a lot of emphasize on web 2.o properties like social networking related sites...

This social media sharing in itself has its advantages since your information is also added to the facebook users wall for all their friends to see. This in itself is a recommendation that can drive traffic to your website.

I found that google+ seems to be lagging a bit and due to it's slow loading and less sharing, it's not worth the effort. I found facebook likes helping me in the bing and yahoo search data. There is also wall sharing and page sharing of link is also going to help to some extent. I have removed google analytics and all google related trackers from the website for the sake of hiding my bounce rate, so going to test with the social sharing like this way as well.

Maybe yes that Facebook helps SEO in increasing your page rank by looking on the number of likes. But this will be not credible due to some that paid others just to have a huge likes. This can't be trusted easily.

i also have a high bounce rate but i'm not removing on how google is tracking all my sites because i still think the google analytics is the best analytics you can get hold to fully create a campaign to your websites

@hope7812 facebook is totally against that which is why the feature was removed from twiends. i dont think people who aim at getting a lot of likes do so to improve ranking but rather to gain traffic and an audience for marketing purposes.

Yes it have possitive infact, google will honor your website if it has many facebook likes, we all know that facebook is one of the most popular social networking site nowadays. You will also get some quality traffic because of those likes,
