Why do people "like" their own status update

Its something very spectacular to have so much interest in whatever we are doing and what ever we wish to post on our facebook and we all know that before we must have posted anything it is because we like that thing so we posted it.Be it photos,status,wall posts and many others.

I really dont understand the rationale behind liking or unliking one's own post. It sounds really funny and odd. That is something for others to do. When one does that, they usually appear to be proud and conceited. I really dont think it is something one should be doing.

people who like their own status update were just annoying, are they crazy? I can't understand why do they need to do that. Facebook needs to remove the like button on every owners status or posts.

Well for me now I do not really care about my status on my Facebook here. And I do not really put any attention with the "like" status on Facebook anymore here. It is just nothing very special for me now too. Because too many things to read here.

because they want to get someone attention just by that like lol, it will be bad if they don't have a lot of friend that comment their facebook status, but so far i think it is not a big problem, right?

I have hundreds of friends on facebook, a lot of them like your posts, I know not what they do, after all, is how to say good morning to each other to greet the day <lol>

because they have just got some news that seems to be in their mind forever. even after keeping it their status they seem to not get over it and hence they like their own post.

I like to like own staus or photo.If it so then other frend are encourage to like and comment the status of our.Also there may be the different thought about this of person..its there matter wheather they need to like there own status and photo.

hehehehhee!!!! i also always wondered what they are trying to pull by doing that.the whole point of updating status is to announce what is going on in ur life, and there are sometime , some serious update going on in the status and they would be first to like it,, i guess people are just lonely, or simply put some attention seeking.. boohohohohooooo..

what i wanna say let people do what they think that right they can like their status if they think that is a right thing and if it's was a wrong thing facebook would lock it (( Btw i dont like my status :P ))

I think it is not necessary to like own facebook wall post or status. Because what you post on the wall is already liked by you so there is no necessary to click "like." I think people like their own post because they like that too much.

oh yes, this is very common and i sometimes do this in facebook. the reason was that i have see what i have in my mind now in words and is what i want people to see, so i see nothing bad for like my own comments or posts. that is it
