How laptops can enhance learning

Despite the distraction potential of laptops in college classrooms, new research shows that they can actually increase students' engagement, attentiveness, participation and learning.

To achieve this, however, the instructor must set the right stage, says University of Michigan professor Perry Samson.

Samson is a professor in the Department of Atmospheric, Oceanic and Space Sciences who has received honors for his educational technology work.

Laptop really enhance learning as we know well today the world has been totally changed and where laptop plays very important role and we can carry wherever we like it is easy to carry and it can be used as education purpose so it really enhance learning.

Yeah laptop makes you learn many things as we can take it to any place. It is portable and we can just connect it with internet via wifi so it enhances the learning capability of students as well as job holders.

learning is the way of understanding and laptop is the most unsing thing in the modern day's .most of the people use laptop and learn something .we can chat and video calling through the laptop and so many thing's can be done in the laptop .such as listening music , making document , sending mail ,official work so on.in this way we people are enhance in learning through the laptop.

Technology, when used properly, can facilitate the efficiency of learning. For example, a student does not need to physically meet with another student to work on a project if a PDA is used. In this case, time is saved and the task is completed in a more efficient manner. An LCD monitor used in place of a chalkboard would allow a teacher to type, rather than write, pertinent information. Students could then type the instructions in word documents on their laptops. This would quicken the process of taking notes.
