Bad news for the US online poker sites

DOJ indicts founders of top US online poker sites

      By Alistair Barr
SAN FRANCISCO (Market Watch) -- Federal authorities unsealed an indictment Friday against the founders of the three largest internet poker companies operating in the U.S. The indictment charges eleven defendants, including the founders of PokerStars, Full Tilt Poker, and Absolute Poker, with bank fraud, money laundering, and illegal gambling offenses, according to Federal authorities in New York. Restraining orders were issued against more than 75 bank accounts used by the poker companies and their payment processors, while five Internet domain names used by the companies to host poker games were seized, federal authorities added in a statement.

one time, i think last week or the week before that, i saw Full Tilt Poker as being investigated by the FBI, with its homepage replaced with the banners of the investigating units. but the day after that till now, i think its own homepage is running again. what does this mean? does it mean that Full Tilt Poker has passed with flying colors the investigation done on them? hmm...

I do remember this. So it was Full Tilt Poker that got closed won by FBI. I actually made a copy of their seal. I mean, of their statement regarding why they closed the site. But its federal crime to keep one so I'll keep it to myself for the mean time. Posting it somewhere might make me a sudden criminal.

The lesson from this case, we have to be really careful to join the gambling sites. Although the payment is still legit, but once we know the company has the problem with the Federal Government, we can be the victim as the member of that gambling site. We will not be able to withdraw our money.
