      Liberty Reserve and TRUSTe

I find the banner logo of TRUSTe on Liberty Reserve homepage.

      There is an explanation here:
      Liberty Reserve
This site is certified by TRUSTe

Here, we can connect Liberty Reserve through using Facebook. It is a nice new thing from Liberty Reserve.

I try to access the link using TrustE, and I see it is working fine. Also the link is safe so far.
But, for me I still prefer to use Google Search link or typing it by myself.

I do prefer opening my account through liberty reserve sign in page because going through other pages is risky becausd we don't really know if they are hacker or not most especially connecting through face book.
Most hackers always use the facebook connection.

      Re: Liberty Reserve and TRUSTe

i agree with you mate and i am not even thinking of making use of these options as the risk involved here is way to high and i do not advice members to trying these method of checking ones account as it is better to make use of my firefox and it liberty guard as i was able to detect a phishing site thanks to my liberty guard and had it been i was checking my account via facebook i want to believe i would not have known

      Re: Liberty Reserve and TRUSTe

Truste is just security certificate that anyone with website can get for their customer security. This security certificate doesn't mean the site is secure all the time. there are obvioulsy vulnerability testing that goes with the stuff. but it is often ignored due to heuristic practices. i think don't take SSL and certificates for granted folks.

I think that security service had been in their site for a long time now, even since i have known liberty reserve site. And the TRUSTe is just a security guard service providing site, and i don't know about any other purpose that you guys understands it.

That certificate ensures that you are on secure site for the transaction. So any transaction from such site is considered secure. How much it is secure is not mentioned by any company and not even by the certificate company. LR is trusty enough for our funds and i can rely on it for sure.

      Re: Liberty Reserve and TRUSTe

Facebook connect is not for LR as of now and Trustee is not for social networking, so not on facebook as of now. Facebook has their own SSL and certificate so i don't think this has anything to do with LR. Trustee is about how secure site is on the SSL line. Other than that there is no point of that certificate.

well i do not fancy even trying it should it have access to my account and also i think there is no need for one to try it as we all know how accessible Facebook is and one trying to loose one's money via that means of accessing these account of ours cos i will not be sure due to the fact that i cannot make use of it with my liberty guard

If reading the comment of many members, which most of the Liberty Reserve users, do not prefer to use the connection form TrustE, then, I can not find any advantage and usage of this feature for Liberty Reserve and, specially for the users.
It is only wasting time I think.

      Re: Liberty Reserve and TRUSTe

Trustee is certificate and not a SSL connection. I think you should forget about much of the security stuff for now. Because these type of security issues are hardly needed any attention. I mean you don't need any reference for the LR in case of cerfiticates like trustee or SSL connection. They're secure enough.

liberty reserve is probably the best e-currency right now. but i would not consider it as a proper payment processor because of the fact it does not have refund policy.

      Re: Liberty Reserve and TRUSTe

Why you want refund policy for the ecurrency ? if you want refund policy then be prepared for the documents and the stuff. some of the people don't want to do that and they still expect refund policy. besides refund policy has nothing to do with this thread.

Liberty reserve is my favourite payment processor due to the low fees it is charging for every transaction.
The only thing i'm dissapointed about there is no refund option.if some one cheated us means the money cannot be taken back may that can be the reason many hyip's use liberty reserve.

I think there is no connection between the refund on Liberty Reserve and the trustE feature here. TRUSTe here is only a program to make sure that this website is good and safe, and we get the correct link here. It is good for Liberty Reserve not to give refund.

      Re: Liberty Reserve and TRUSTe

Exactly. Truste is third party service and they validate the SSL certificates and the secure connection for the website. That way they let you know that the connection is safe for the transaction. Even though many hacks happen all the time. So that is why this service is about security and has nothing to do with refunds.
