Re: what about sunday and friday trading ?
Its not true that trading does not take place over the weekends. Trading actually goes on during the weekends but the volumes are usually too low to offer for retail trading and that is why most traders do not get quotes over the weekend.

Re: what about sunday and friday trading ?
I have never heard of trading taking place over the weekends and if trading actually takes place, I\'m just wondering why these brokers do not open up for trading. I also think that it will be difficult to trade during the weekends because most traders will be resting over the weekends.

Re: what about sunday and friday trading ?
Contract for difference is what is being traded in the financial markets over the weekends and although some currency trading still takes place, the leverage available to forex traders is markedly reduced because of very low market activity.

Re: what about sunday and friday trading ?
l think based on gmt some countries can still trade on Sunday night since early Asian session is already open.but l dont think if it is right time for trading since there is always sharp moves upon opening of the market.so it is better to wait all the big players will join also.about Friday there is nothing wrong to trade on Friday.

Re: what about sunday and friday trading ?
Prefer not to be active on Forex trading during the end of the week and the new beginning of the week. Because we do not know about the Gap price here. So, I prefer to skip it and relax, enjoying the time

Re: what about sunday and friday trading ?
Okay. How can you trade on weekends? Theirs no such thing as trading in weekends. As the market is close. How can you trade if the market is closed? Theirs an off order but its not trading at all. All off orders are executed during the first business hour on monday. that's why theirs what we called gap trade. But it does not mean that theirs a trade on weekends.

Re: what about sunday and friday trading ?
Market quotes are not some fancy numbers, they actually represents exchange rates coming from participating banks. If the banks are closed for the week, there is no how trading can be possible. The trading we see on late Sunday nights is simply as a result of the differences in GMT.

Re: what about sunday and friday trading ?

Re: what about sunday and friday trading ?
Some of the traders say according to the history and experience here, the market on the Friday usually we can see from the opening market, how the trend will be here. And then after that, we have to see if there is any High Impact news on the calendar or not

Re: what about sunday and friday trading ?
I do agree. that's why my motto is monday is the day to position yourself in the market. Friday is the day to make profit. In short on monday I open a position in a pair that I think its a good rate then all open position must be closed on friday in profit.
But theirs some strategy that is good in friday also or actually only use to trade on friday to monday and that is gap trading strategy.

Re: what about sunday and friday trading ?
this is alter to continue departed or do no trading on every Weekday. Because we can not see and can not live the gap opened ulterior. Galore people is ever gift that advice, and outgo to survey this. Surpass to unpaired the country trade before the weekend.

Re: what about sunday and friday trading ?
Even though market close on weekends theirs still some offline transaction. that's why when the market open on monday sometimes theirs s price gap. that's why theirs what we called gap strategy. But usually its only happen on yen. Since Japan is the first major market that open on monday while the europe and america's market is still sleeping then Japan market can dictate the price and europe and american market can't react yet since the market their is still close. Also on friday in europe and america its already saturday in japan. so the price of yen can't react when the price in europe and america changes.

Re: what about sunday and friday trading ?
Sunday and Friday trading is normal trading for me and i never feel any fear in these days. Some traders dont trade in these days and some also dont trade in Monday whole day because they think the market is slow in these days and might they get loss. All days are equally importance, if you are a good trader then you can get your profit any day.

Re: what about sunday and friday trading ?
How can you trade on sunday? As the market is only open during monday to friday? Unless your a big institution or banks that can have a pending transaction on weekends theirs no way you can trade on sunday.
And trading on friday? What strategy can you use to trade on friday only? At most you can do is trade using scalping strategy.

Re: what about sunday and friday trading ?
What I know here, even the market is still running on Sunday, but we can not trade on Sunday. Because most of the brokers on the Forex market do not open and do not have the market data on Sunday. So, we better go off on Sunday as well here. Waiting for Monday

Re: what about sunday and friday trading ?
Nope. market does not run on sunday. the market is closed but "offline" banks and big financial institution has position them self already. That's why when the market open they have the priority to trade first.
That's why theirs a gap price when market open on monday. Because even the market is close on weekends big banks and institution has already done deal that only need to be input on monday to be finalize.
