i often keep the same profile picture for long, i usually change within one or two month. I think every one do the same because we can get little notice from the friends if we do some stuffs in the facebook. well i will prefer the profile picture with cover pictures cause it make my profile little different form the old one

A man's picture is his identity, no one would be able to identify or differenciate between you and someone else if not for your picture, and we all know for sure that no one would ever want to chat with a faceless individual on facebook without a profile picture, so it's important.

I suppose that you are right in that no one would want to chat to a faceless person on facebook. But there are people that do not have their profile pics as themselves but prefer to have them in their photo albums for very personal and specific reasons.

Also nobody wants to add a face less profile, if you want to have a friend request then you should put your real picture on your Facebook account just be proud of yourself, everyone is allowed to post their pictures on Facebook.

Not everyone feels the need to use their profile picture as their own picture and they have the prerrogative to do so at any time. As long as you have your pictures in your photo albums its better because if someone wants to confirm if you are the right person before sending a friend request they can always check your album.

I post a animated pic becauyse some people really make bad comments oin your real pic which i don't want to listen and argue with them and waste my time.

I operate two accounts, one with my real name, contact address, phone number and so on. In this account my profile picture is my real picture. The second account is just who i would like to be and it contains fake profile picture and name. Funny enough I have more friends on my fake profile than the real one.

I use the real pic of mine. I have included only the known friends on my facebook friend list so i use the real pic of mine. I am not into making new friends online. Had i been interested in making new friends then i would be using a fake pictures

Even to me at making new friends on facebook i use my main picture for my profile picture and i really love to use that main picture because i believe that people will always be interested with you when you have your real pictures on your profile.And like me i don't accept some friends requests atimes because of the pictures that they put on their profile,as in ones its fake picture i would not accept the friends request.

i also have used my real profile picture to make new friends as well as it will be much more easier to my old friends to find me in facebook. When i try to search friends then there are many friends who use different picture than real on so it will be much more harder for me to recognize them, so i think it will be better to use real picture in social networking sites

well as for me my profile picture is cartoon character well known as tomoya ukasaki well as it describes my whole entity in this world i think we are twins. lol. well as for me i really dont want my pictures uploaded in the net.

If you want to make friends in Facebook then use your real profile picture because nobody wants to make friends to someone who don't have friends like what the saying is, be yourself to make friends, if you won't be yourself then you won't make friends so using your real profile picture is a must.

Now, I do not really care for the Profile Picture here. Because not too many people looking at this one here. As the important thing for me here, is only to put nice picture. And now I do not really need to keep changing the picture. Because not every one will see it any time.

I use my real picture for my profile always. I have many of them so I keep changing it everytime and whenever I like. Although sometimes I use my lovely flawers from my flawer garden to display as my profile picture if I like. But using a flawer is not too good as people may think you don't want to display your identity for some strange reasons so better use your real picture to avoid tentions if you finally meet a friend from FB in real life

Well there are quite number of times that we have to put some things that will be as a reminder to some things that has happened for some time ago amd then we had to put the picture on our facebook account so as to make it a reminder to that day and i believe that should be quite ok.

Well, I think it will be better to use another picture if we will be using an account for business purposes (like promoting a site or selling products). In business, you will come across people you do not really know. And they might use your pictures (and other personal information) to do something bad.

I dont think that there is much security to using your profile. If someone want to use photos, they can get biilions of photos online for free. I wouldnt use my own photo on a business account as a choice rather than as a must. I would rather use a logo but depending on the type of business I am running online.

In Facebook your profile pictures must be real because its a best social networking. Don't try to put fake pictures in Facebook that harms you at last. Make a more and more friends in Facebook by using its right way. I also keep my real pictures in Facebook. I like Facebook so much. Facebook Teach me alot things.
