One of the reasons why i'm not using my own profile pic most of the time is because i sometimes use my nickname on facebook instead of my real name. Its a nickname i got in high school so most of my family and friends know it.

I am a very private person and like to keep my facebook friendlist to only intimate friends and family. How many times have you sent someone a friend request just because their pic was familiar? I avoid that.

My profile picture at Facebook is my face but I am hiding my face with my hands and goofing around. I do not want to reveal my real face I just want it that way. It is my own way of telling the world my shy identity.

The fact is that some people are naturally ugly though am not trying to sound cocky.. i do use my own picture and its no big deal at all and i do hate it whenever a friend uses a photo of a celebrity as a profile picture

Thats so optimistic buh i got your back on that,i sincerly think the so called 'ugly ones' dont normally use their pictures in' that they dont want to make their looks publicly seen but thats not an issue to beckon with

there's no ugly people. everyone has a beauty that yet un noticed, beauty is not just physical out look but also inner out look. let say that your good looking one but your attitude is so bad then your the one who's ugly than those who have physical problems. we cant judge people that easily, we don't know whats the reason behind it.

It is not the ugly thing as @blueangel07 said there is not ugly people. It is the less confidence that stops them from using their real face on Facebook. And they know that there are abnormal people that will tease them behind their back. But in my case, it is good to believe in yourself and do your thing.

Ugly or not this is still a personal choice that anyone has a right to make and the fact that your picture does not contain a picture of yourself does not mean that you have not uploaded any pictures of yourself in your photo albums.

And simply do not mind if they are using not their own picture unless they are not declaring they are that person when they know they are not. Some are shy of uploading their pictures because they are not open minded. There are people not good in physical feature but their personality counts.

I belong to those who are using their own picture as their profile pic. My friends will be able to identify me or add me when they see my face . Sometimes when they are using other picture , they are not easy to notice by their classmates or friend. Your friend will doubt if it is you or not. But the reason maybe why they use other pic, is that they are not confident enough to show their face there.

I know you are proud of him because he is your son. Of course, still part of you. You are just being real. However, we cannot dictate to other people if they chose to use other pictures. I should consider if they use animated pictures than choosing other person's pictures.

I'm also using my own photos not a photos of somebody else, though sometimes i used an cartoon character like sponge bob as my profile picture.. just to make a different sometimes not always my profile picture, which i'm getting bored to see sometimes.

As of now, I am using my real photo in my profile picture in Facebook. A three picture of mine and I compress it with the use of Photoscape. A little bit of editing looks good.

Yes, editng your pictures will looks more good yeah! i used photoshop sometimes in my profile picture.. but there are some people that using celebrities pisture as their profile picture maybe cos they want a lot of facebook friend request that's why they are using celebrities photos.

I guess some are using the pictures of others especially artist because they like it. Not for the reason that they are hiding the true them. Sometimes they are addict to those artist that's why they are using their (arist or celebrity)pics not their own pics.My cousin are using her fave Korean artist picture as her profile pic. And i understand why she did that.

If you are declaring to be someone you are not this will considered as posing and this is against facebook policy(I know i have flouted a lot of their policies) Then you are just outright pretending to be someone you are not. That is something I will never do.

I use my real information albeit limited, have my own pics in my photo album but choose to use other pictures besides those of my self at times as my profile pic.

Well coming to that,i would say most people that uses another person's picture for Profile picture is not proud of themselves and maybe they feel they are not GoodLooking not knowing that personality Counts.

Maybe because they are jealous of the people at Facebook. I had seen the faces of my friends there and I never thought they had grown beautiful and I am the same person with a boring face. They are shy, not confident, or they just choose different pictures as a reflection of their personality.

I also agree with that. Because they really like and adore the artist, they want to make their profile picture like their favorite actors/actresses. But there are many people misunderstand that because the first thing that comes to their mind is they are a Poser.

Sometimes it is hard to differentiate who are the fakes and the real ones. But we can also tell it through the way they post. But i think most of the users are using their own profile picture. And what they put their is their best look.
