Potential Issues after opening a Moneybookers account.
Hi
I'd like to open an account.
However, I may run into problems during the verification stage because my country has no residential postal delivery service. Post goes to PO Boxes.
I've read that Moneybookers send a letter containing a 6 digit code to the residential address provided. Is there an option to fill in the residential address when signing up, and then request that they send the letter to my PO Box address? Can they deliver via international courier like DHL / UPS ( I'd have to give the courier directions ) ?
Issue #2
Credit/debit card verification. "Any bank account or credit/debit card used with your account must be in exactly the same name as provided here." The Moneybookers form only has two name fields, First and Last. My cards all have my middle names included. Do they mean that the First and Last names must match, and ignore middle names? Or do I have to open a bank account and inform them that I only want my First and Last name to appear on any cards issued?
What are your experiences?

Re: Potential Issues after opening a Moneybookers account.
First question. Where you from? Because not all countries are supported by moneybookers. Second. Why do you want to open an account? because some countries has restrictions of using moneybookers and now for the answer to your question.
P.O. box. is a no. Because its not your address.
creditcard/ debitcard yes. It does not matter as long your first name and last name is correct and your address. That is allowed. But your problem actually is your address and not your middle name as you say its in p.o. box.

@KenMan
Are you interested to open a MB account or not? Its good to help but its useless to help if you just open this thread and forget about it. Anyway. You must also have a reason to have MB and that reason must be good to follow in MB rules. Because its useless to have an account if only to be suspended.

Re: Potential Issues after opening a Moneybookers account.
I reside in Kenya. I want to open an account for the purpose of freelance work.
I am aware that a P.O. Box is not my address. However, it would only be there for shipping purposes. My residential address would also be indicated and supporting proof is available ( title deed, utility bill )
Some flexible companies recognize these limitations and provide alternatives. e.g.
Note regarding PO Box addresses
Where an individual resides in a jurisdiction where the use of PO Box addresses is commonplace (e.g. South Africa), Horizon are still required to verify the residential address although it is appreciated that it may be impossible to provide the documentation referred to above. In such cases Horizon will require the following:
A certified copy of the agreement with the Post Office that shows both the PO Box and residential address, or;
Two certified address verification documents, one of which must show both the PO Box number and residential address
I will of course e-mail Moneybookers with my concerns before I sign up, but I first wanted to hear from users who have encountered and overcome this obstacle.

@KenMan
You can't email them since you can only contact their support if you have an account. weird right? lols. But that how MB works. If P.O. box is for shipping as you said. then theirs no use to use it for MB because theirs no shipping for that. You can use your residential address. Don't worry its just one time deal for them. They will mail you an activitation letter and that's it. That the first and the last mail you will receive from them. Also. You need to have a bank account in which you can withdraw your money if you already have an MB funds.

They send a letter for the verification of the address and same goes for the bank. Once it is approved your financial limit is raised to more hgher limit. This is what my account shows and explain to me. In your case, you need tog et support.

Limits in MB is so high. That even if you don't get verified you still can use your MB without any problem. As long you receive and sends funds below the limits. The only importance of being verified is when you want to withdraw your funds to your bank.

Re: Potential Issues after opening a Moneybookers account.
Yeah that is true. Limits are something like 1500$ or converted the amount in your local currency. it is 65000 for me and by verifying address they have moved to much higher mark for now. but there seems to be limit on minimum and maximum transfer done per transaction or day.

But the funny thing is that they have a high limits but if you have a high transaction they will hold your funds and ask you to submit many requirements to prove that your account is legit and your transaction is legit and in the end its will take a month more or less to finish the process. usually this happens if you transact more than 1,000 dollars.
