Has anyone successfully added you PAN number?

I'm worried about adding the PAN number in Paypal. I have heard from many that it has been causing problems and that PAN numbers are being rejected in the system and its frustrating! They ask for mobile number and PAN number and we have to verify.
But i think it maybe problem in address change in paypal and the one in the PAN card...
Anyway, has anyone successfully entered their PAN number into Paypal yet?

What does PAN stands for? Is it a kind of a debit or a credit card? If so, you won't have a problem as long as it is a visa or a master card. PP accepts widely of that kind of cards.

PAN stands for permanent account number. You can read more about PAN Card here. PAN card is for indian citizens and any person above 2 year old can open it for the mapping of tax. You don't need to have job or business to have that. It is used to map the tax on your name to that card.

Now I know. This is just available for Indian citizen. So, have you tried associating your PAN in your PP account? This not possible right? Since it is not a credit or debit card right?

I connected my PAN with paypal because i'm resident of that country. It is similar to social security number meant for tax purpose. You can consider it that government here is tracking user activity with PAN number tracking. It is not for indonesia, philpines members. It is only meant for indians and yes you can add other cards and bank account. PAN card is only for identity and tax documentation for indians.

PAN is only for indian account holder. I think its because of their bank rules that paypal need to comply. Just correct me guys if I'm wrong. Its their central bank equivalent to ours that impose this rules and paypal follows. I wonder why paypal follow those rules as its not required as a banking international standard.

Ahhh, that is for the tax documentation for Indians. So are telling that all Indian Online earners have to link their PAN in PP since this if for tax tracking right? And this is great since you can have this PAN of age 2 really. In the Philippines, this would only be available if your already working I guess.

Yes, I know that but I was just curious about the PAN that Indian citizens have. Now it's clear. It is for Tax documentation purposes for Indians who are earning.

Re: Has anyone successfully added you PAN number?

I have not added my pan number but yes i added my father PAN number . And i got no problem in adding it . Paypal tokk 1 minute and after that my father's pan number was added succesfully. PAN is only for taxing authorities because earlier lot of Indians didn't pay tax for the they earned online and received payment through paypal.

Re: Has anyone successfully added you PAN number?

YOu are from india? if yes then PAN is the only document you need and that included the bank verification. Most likely the case with the PAN is that it is meant for the tax and other things out there. I suggest you to do the addition of the PAN if you are feeling good with it otherwise there seems to eb no need and also it is meant for india.

I have successfully entered my pan card. The first two times, It got rejected. The third time it got right. You should use small letters for alphabets in the PAN number while verifying correctly.

A PAN number is a number which is used to record all the tax payments you have made to government . Like google tracking it is like tax tracking number . Paypal asks for it because if any Indian withdraws money from its paypal account to its local account then the amount of tax will be automatically credited to that PAN number.
