Why are LR Accounts Stars with the Letter U?

I also have the same thoughts with you, but in my opinion it's not a big problem and therefore I never think much about it. possible to more clearly you can ask directly on the site's employees. probably it's just a unique code for them. but I think it would be safer if the LR using letters from A to Z. and not just use the U.

first why will LR going to use all the letters? Second if LR does what its it not safe? For me the reason why LR use U and X is simple. user and exchanger. that's the only difference. because if you use the word user its going to be long and if its going to use exchanger its going to be long. So in short it does not use letter U and X as a letter but as an abbreviation of the words I mention above. second X does not mean business. Have you been a ptp site a hyip site that use X to send you funds?

I have thought about this for long. I am so much very happy to see a thread set aside to address this issue. So far from the responses i have seen, it makes sense. Maybe the "U" liberty reserve uses in liberty reserve account numbers is a random number chosen by their administrators. Or maybe it was chosen by chance, hehe though that's my little opinion. You know how things invented or discovered were given names. Some are by chance while some are just to remind the discovers some things in their life.

To me,i don't think that the abreviations is by chance and then if you by chance fall into "X" your account starts with "X"prefix or If you by chance fall under "U" your accounts starts with "U"Prfix.Its all about "U" for users and "X" for exchangers.@Bulasticka now i understand what you Mean.

LR is a different payment processor.It is not like PayPal and Alert pay. there is Login Pin in LR and also Welcome Message on LR on the other hand, PayPal and Alert Pay is way too different from LR. And the letter "U" is basically a registration number.On which you register.And this number can't be change.

Well it may seem that the reason maybe that U means User. Yea maybe they are trying to denote custermers as users. Whatever reason it was it will surely be a good one. Had it been the account id is our email address like paypal does. It would have been easier for us to remember our account numbers or account i.d which ever is the case.

Well from all indications i think its just about denoting "U" for we users who only use the payment processor to receiving our funds and then cashout and then denoting "X" fro the exchangers whom their business is to exchange or buy our liberty Reserve balance and then give us the equivalent to our local Currency.And one thing about the exchangers is that they will always keep using the Dollars in return to buy more local Currency.

Yeah "U" and "X" are the best way to classify the users and the exchangers. Adding all the letters in the alphabet is pointless, and it will only make things confusing. So i think that it's a very clever way to organize the type of LR accounts efficiently.

The account number that liberty reserve uses in identifying it's clients id to me if asked about it, is short and seems like they may run out of numbers in future. The characters the use are limited. If lr keeps increasing in people the will find it difficult to choose account numbers for new users.

I don't know if you know how to count but numbers are unlimited or indefinite. Just count 0 to 9 then at 1 after 0 you have 10 to 99 add another zero and you have 100 to 999 and so on its indefinite.

I thought you would have said that they will replace the U with any other alphabet in the future. Havent you heared of telecommunication providers running out of numbers, maybe the population of your country aint large like mine.

I surgest is just a random letter the founding fathers surgested should be added to the numbers that are randomly generated each time a new user registers an account.

What i understand why libertyreserve start from letter U is that libertyreserve very different than other account both alertpay and paypal reason libertyreserve start from U is very obsvirous and similarie and gaurd.

Liberty Reserve categorizes accounts in two, one is "U" and other is "X". It is very easy to understand why Liberty Reserve only use 2 letters. In my opinionn "U" means user, S/he may be general user who use LR for different purposes. User12345 = U12345,
If we look at "X" users they are exchangers. "X" is also refers to exchange or exchangers. That's why merchants account starts with "X". They excahnge their services with LR. Hope this will help all of you. If I'm wrong then you can provide a valid reason for the same. I'll accept if you'll correct me.

Yea i think this is reasonable enough, and your post gained my vouch, i think i would buy your opinion or rather view any day any time and this is the best answer so far, we all know there are two different account on LR which are for personal use and for merchant transaction.

Yes, U stands for USER that's why it starts with "U" i guess if you know what's you stand for you wouldn't ask for such thing. As i know there are only two letters which is "U" and "X" so what's X stands for? X stands for eXchanger as we know this is the way where we can withdraw our funds.
