Actually, I find some reason for it. Think of it like you forgot to logout your LR account one a public computer because of your carelessness then you are already in a distant place from there. Then you can easily find another nearest public computer then try to block your account. If you have $1,000 in your account then $5 won't hurt if someone can hack your account. Just my 2 cents.

Its a whole lot of waste i think they should replace this feature with introducing a dispute feature or anything helpful, moreover they ought not to charge for this feature as it is just to help us.poor libertyreserve.

Yes, I also think that this feature is just really useless it would be better if Liberty reserve would come up with more great security features in ensuring our account protection though I am already confident that my account is really secured in Liberty reserve as it offers lots of security protection.

If we lost the password we have a account recovery section. we ddon't have to lock it down. after all the LR transactions are one way and they don't bring 1k back in any case. so if anyone gets access in public account and transfer the money. then money is gone for life. there is no way to get it back. that is the thing we have to understand.

It's never a waste and you have the freedom not to use it if you don't like it. I agree with the $5 charge to be removed though since I dont get the idea why they need $5 to block an account. About dispute feature, I would just like to quote what I have said earlier on another thread.
There would be just VERY FEW HYIPs that would be running if there is a dispute feature in LR.

Re: Emergency Account Block on Liberty Reserve

The emergency account block that we have on facebook is of great help for us all when we are been tampered with on our accounts then the Libertyreserve staffs are upto blocking the account for the meantime and then we can get into our accounts later on when we are free.I really love the libertyreserve feature of the account block for some time.

Re: Emergency Account Block on Liberty Reserve

Liberty Reserve is increasing their security day by day . Even if each person has a 3 passowrd security to send payments to other accounts Liberty Reserve instead of sitting and relaxing is increasing their security and is providing the best facilities to their clients at the best possible conditions. In current time LR is only payment processor which has so much security and it is difficult for hackers ot hack it also.

Yeah libertyreserve are trying even the more on how our payment processor accounts can be secured enough and they always introduce more and more ways to keep our accounts so secured and tight for the hackers to tamper on our accounts.I really apreciate all that Libertyreserve has done so far for us in the payment processor.

It just means that LR is very competitive when it comes to giving us security and service. Why wouldn't they? They earn alot through the busy traffic and transactions everyday. We know that everyday hackers find a way to hack systems of LR and they really have given us the best when it comes to service.

Oh! I think I overlooked this one. This is not my point here. You cannot do anything if they have already transferred the money to another account. What I said over there is that if you can try and save your account by trying to block it through another computer then this one is useful.

The point is that you have to use password manager like Lastpass and if you can't transfer the funds the right way then surely you are going to have some issues with the LR. because it is one time money transfer no matter how you see it. ther eis nothing you can do after the money is gone. blocking it does not solve the issue. better passwords solves the issue.

I think this is very much useful way to keep our accounts very much secured and very much good for our use all the time that we are using our accounts and then suspect fowl play on our account, then we can just have the account blocked for a while to keep it more safe for our use all the time that we are on the payment processor site.

Yeah we can always use this feature when we suspect scammers on the account and that will be in a way to scare hackers away from the payment processor account and we can always get our accounts back whenever we want it back to and this is a very good feature we can always use to keep our accounts intact all the time.

Do you know how to use this features? Its going to give more damage to the user instead to that hacker. Its because once your account get blocked you need to pay some amount just to unlock your account. So even if a hacker don't get your funds you still loss money in here because you need to pay LR to reopen your account.

This is the problem though because if your money is already gone then there's no use blocking the account now. I would rather open another account in the process just to ensure that they dont gain access the same way that they did before.

Re: Emergency Account Block on Liberty Reserve

@blasting,,how much is the amount that we should pay before our accounts can be reopened again? And if the amount is quite affordabl,we can just give it out to them than allowing the hackers to take over our libertyreserve payment processor account,is that better? I think its the best thing that we can do to keep the account so safe.

Re: Emergency Account Block on Liberty Reserve

Well i guess all of this issues here is depending on how we are able to manage our accounts that matters alot for us and when we are able to manage our accounts very much well, that we might receive that emergency account blocks on our payments processor account and then lose money again to reopen the account.
