what do you think yahoo should do?

there was a time that yahoo rule the world wide web,but now they are overtaken by google and relegated to third spot behind facebook ..What do you think yahoo should do to regain the top spot?

To get back the first position,yahoo should do that works by doing of which the Google got the first position..The Google has invented many new things like Google chrome and Adsense program.Google is distributing its profits with those people who are using their Adsense program.While yahoo has not any such special facility..In short.Yahoo should follow those ways which the Google has already followed and is following..

they already had one http://advertising.yahoo.com/ but they are not as attractive to publisher and beside they don't have a blogging flatform to create a ready made publishers

yahoo web you mean like google chrome well they can start from that but people will have a hard time choosing them as there are now 5 better availlable browse

Yahoo should also share its revenue like google does. Google have more features like google map, google docs and even the google adwords. Most webmaster prefer google for pageranking. If yahoo can compete with these features, yahoo can be at top again.

I agree with you, it was a time when yahoo rule the world and now google is doing the same thing as what yahoo has done, I personally thing why this happens is.

1. google is finest search engine using today world wide as a whole.

2. It's google adhense avails the oppertunity to make same money.

3. It's regularly update the search engine and gives new shape to the home page.


This are few that i have mention, are lot more features that we are still not aware of the site.

this should not be the mind set of one company that was one time a leader of the pack they should regroup, hire dynamic people who will take them to a new high to eventually regain their position

i think yahoo have done some innovation, like fast and easy mail, good news, and new view. i myself really enjoy using their email...
they also make their social network like yahoo koprol, but not as famous as facebook...
all of this because they don't know what people want i think...
but i believe they will be still one of top

Yeah... Yahoo should know their users want to stay on top. Perhaps, they can distribute something like questionnaires to their users via email. They analyze the answers and then, they can make conclusion of what they should to improve their service.

They are right Google has adsense, Gmap, Translator ,Chrome etc. They should invent something unique, something that people will be amaze just like Gmap i was amazed by the technology created by Google.

Yahoo can offer more different services what are better and more interesting then them from Google. For example Yahoo can open a own map program or a kind of news app or program what is free for members to use when they are using Yahoo search engine.

I don't think it's really important if you're on the no.1 spot, as long as you still serve well to other people. I admit, I use Yahoo before but years passed by and Google has overtaken its spot, so I use Google now. If Yahoo really wants to take the first spot, then of course they should offer or make something that will really surprise internet users and things that are really unique and cannot be found in Google, since they are both search engines.

I dont think yahoo do not need to be on the top since they are still popular nowadays As for me i really think that all of those users in google and facebook usually visits yahoo since it has so many features. For me, yaho is still the best since all in all if you would observe it, yahoo have lots of great features unlike those two FB and GOOGLE.

Well, if that's your opinion then you go for it. We all have different points of view towards a certain idea. But I just don't mind whether which is which, which is on top, etc. These 3 sites are still good and they offer helpful things to us, internet users. We just hope that they'll still continue serving us for a long time.

I agree with you friend that all of us are having different point of views. for some peoples yahoo is best , for some google is best, but I prefer google as best serch engine.
