Regarding promoting your affiliate links in yahoo answers, it's not allowed. I even had my answers account deactivated. All my questions and answers were deleted. So i'm not sure if a blog full of affiliate links is really allowed in yahoo answers or it was not reported by the answers community, that's why the answer with the link is still there.

it is a tip that gives u an answer to your question which is a conveninate as any other site such as ask.com google etc.

Yahoo answer has some good answers and sometimes they are just copy pasting from other sources. I have observed that sometimes answer is pure copy form another site and it is not good for long term good answers. I usually add my link to the site while answering some questions. it does help sometimes to get traffic.

I'm currently spending my time to increase my level on Yahoo Answer. I wonder what kind of benefit will you get if you do have a higher rank on Yahoo Answer. But for me the main reason why I really wanted to increase my level is to use it for the task on microworkers

yes i agree with you, yahoo answers is one of the best feature of Yahoo. I use it and it is so much helpful for me to get any answer and solve my queries. it is helpful for website traffic and SEO too. MY level is 2 at yahoo answers.

SEO wise the value of link form yahoo answer is not much worthy as it was used to be in past. Now after the panda update you need links from better resources and you have to work hard on the links and make sure that you just get the links to the product page if you're into affiliate programs. SAves times for earning.

Well based on the responses here, i think that we can use yahoo answers to promote our triond articles. I'm a member of triond, but i haven't written any articles yet. Maybe only investment sites are the sites that are prohibited to be promoted in yahoo answers? Since i was promoting ad2million then. And then my account got disabled.

If you will use it in promoting you should make it natural not spammy.. you could get a huge visitor from yahoo answer if you can able to use it in the right way. People can't earn here by answering question it's just for a cause.

The best thing is that you always get real people responding to your questions based on their knowledge to their topics or experience. I just wish that members who participate here would be compensated as we are on PTP forums because it would really make it worthwhile. You would be sure that when you post a question there would be a lot more responses and it would happen much quicker than it does now.

yahoo answer is the best place for sharing our knowledge. It is nice to help the needy one in seconds of our own opinion. I have find this as the best place for solving problem with many option and best thing is we can select the best answer among them.

It doesnt take much from you since all that is required is a minute or so of your time to respond to a question. Granted, some answers might not be exactly helpful to the person who asked the question, that is to be expected. This is why there is a voting feature to see which one actually managed to address the questions so that people coming after would know which answer worked better.

I have done the same for the same matter as you have said. And I always try to give the best answer regarding the link which I am going to post in yahoo answer but also they say its out of their rule. How it is out of the rule when I have not directly promoted my Link. That is bad thing in this site.

I use that service. It is both funny and relaxing site where you get some serious and funny type of answers for your questions. I also like some random chats on answers. much better than sites like mylot or earning palace.

I am a frequent user of yahoo answer. I love answering in it nut most of the times in section like homework help, I think it is spoiling the children as homework are supposed to be done by themselves. But it does provide a genuine help to the askers.
