Re: What effect does a weak internet connection have on forex trading?
Using 2 different ISP`s is not really a bad idea if we are big time traders in the forex trading market. It is better to have strong connection no matter how much it costs us than to have a weak connection and get trading inconsistencies because of it.

Re: What effect does a weak internet connection have on forex trading?
wow that is a good alternative if ever one of the connection is down you can use the other one the big disadvantage would be additional cost that you pay in a month where another money is needed to pay for it. if we have no choice we can pay a little money when using the net in mobile as in my case find a suitable wifi connection it would be bad if you did not put stops on the trade a big effect on the account.

Re: What effect does a weak internet connection have on forex trading?
@ Nehmer : You are correct that it will bring extra costs to our monthly internet access payment. But it is better to have internet 24 hours as a forex trader and pay more money for it than to have one and have network problems and spoil your trading month.

Re: What effect does a weak internet connection have on forex trading?
Yes, that was good to have backup internet connection because condition in forex market could be so fluctuative and if we didn't make preparation and then suddenly the internet connection is disconnected, our risk is high especially if you didn't set risk management yet. I ever experienced it and the result, I got instant Margin Call only because of internet connection

Re: What effect does a weak internet connection have on forex trading?
@ Andry777 : What you had was not poor internet connection only, you also had high lot size trading. That was why within a short moment, your trades went to margin call. We must set our orders perfectly so that in case of any ISP problem, your sl or tp could still be hit.

Re: What effect does a weak internet connection have on forex trading?
I don't know if my lot size is high or not, maybe too high but I got MC because I opened position first, I setted SL and TP after I got price, that was my habit. I did that because I wanted to get better position and the connection is disconnected when I didn't set SL and TP yet. Besides, it's not short moment when my internet is lost connection, it was about 8-12 hours.

Re: What effect does a weak internet connection have on forex trading?
I think if your connection is slow so you will not be able to predict the changes in price which changes very frequently. Selling and buying of currencies are set very fast and if your connection is slow so further changes my also be occurred before your order is originally done and accepted.

Re: What effect does a weak internet connection have on forex trading?
Weak or slow internet connection affects the trading of forex abysmally, it could even cause the record of loss as immediately you are supposed to place a stoploss and you cannot or that network keeps loading and loading, by so doing it will result into loss.
