      Affiliate Marketing Ultimate Thread

Hello pals, I just want to see how far I can help others (you), create/build your affiliate marketing business fron scratch.
This thread won't only be for Newbies, novice and experts are still welcome. I don't know all myself and I won't mind if you can add your comments, tricks, strategies, even make corrections.
I'm not going to be wasting time here.
For my affiliate website, I use plimus because they pays via payoneer which is the most convinient payment processor for me.
There are others like paydotcom, E-junkie, shareasale, clickbank, even tripleclicks through sfimg. The choice you select depends on your choice, maybe of payment, products, support, flexibility, etc. You may ask me for help in choosing the best for you. No pms please!
      Let's move

      Re: Affiliate Marketing Ultimate Thread

Well, affiliate marketing might be something new to some people here. So let me put in some explanations first...
Affiliate marketing is a kind of marketing where someone/company (the affiliate) promotes product(s)/service(s) of another person/company (the seller/merchant) and get paid for every sales made through the promotion. The two parties are linked together through an affliliate website. No doubt that some product sellers has their personal affiliate program.
Let me now explain the whole affiliate thing with an example.
If I'm a seller of a "product X". I now went to say paydotcom to list my product (X) in their marketplace. I would have already created my sales page (sales page of x). I would set the price and generate a "buy now" button from paydotcom and installed it on the sales page.
I will set the commission percentage for every sale made. For example, if the price is $100 and I set the commission to 40%. It means for every sale an affiliate generate, he/she gets $40.
Let's now assume you have an affiliate account with paydotcom and when browsing the marketplace to find product(s) to promote, you hit on my product (product X). You read the details and felt like promoting. You will first get your affiliate link and promote it. Whenever someone who visit the product X's sales page through your link buys, you get $40. CLEAR?

      Re: Affiliate Marketing Ultimate Thread

Your first main job is to select a niche to work with. Some people may be good at dating niche, some may be better off at forex niche, some may be okay at insurance niche, some health, some make money online niche and so on.
Choosing a niche to me actually has to do with your hobby. Just browse any of the affiliate marketing websites I talked about in the first post and look for a product you think you fell in love with.
But there are some things you should look out for:
      1. Appreciable level of demand. By this, I mean a good number of people are interested in buying it. You can determine this by checking certain features provided in the affiliate website's market place.
In each site, you will get them in different ways. But try checking for the number of people promoting it (most sites calls this gravity). If there are many promoters, it must be of high demand, else people won't be that eager.
Another way to confirm if a product is of good demand is to use google free keyword research tool at: https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal. Type the keyword of the product into the software. For example, if the product is to help people lose weight, you can type "weight loss solution" or lose weight into the software box.
It will show you the average number of searches the google search engine has received for the keyword in the previous month as well as monthly.
If you set the software to also display the average cost per click (CPC), then you will see how much advertisers are paying for the keyword. Have it on your mind that the CPC wont be high if the market isn't profitable/of high demand. Anything from $1 means people are buying the product. Advertisers are not fools, you know? They must be making profits selling products before bidding at such an high Cost Per Click.

      Re: Affiliate Marketing Ultimate Thread

      2. The second thing to check before selecting a product to promote is the amount of commission you stand to make from it. The higher the amount you make per sale, the better. You don't want your labour, time and even sometimes go in vain for a too small commissions. I don't promote products with less than $10 per sale.
      3. Now this is VITAL. Check the product's sales page. It is better to go with a product that pays $1 and has a well coverting, well written sales page than to promote one with $100 and has a poorly written sales page. I tell you, before you that go with the $100 per sale product make a sale, the person with the $1 per sale would have made up to 500 sales using the same promotion technique as you. You would have even been lucky. Because the sales page is what communicates to the prospects and not really you. It is what will convince them to buy the product. Your job is to get possible buyers to the page.
If by reading the sales page, you're not move to get the product youself, the chance that it will compel others to buy will be slim. If possible, you can ask someone else to read the sale page and tell you what they think...
We're off all these introduction thing... We shall get down to work with getting/generating sales.
      Some affiliate sites:
      clickbank
      paydotcom
      amazon
      plimus
      shareasale
      e-junkie
      http://www.infomart.fastecash.com/sell_info.php (for Nigerians).
These are the most common ones. You can add yours.
      Let's Get Some Sales

      Re: Affiliate Marketing Ultimate Thread

Looks like no one is interested in this... Anyway, I will just continue! Who knows? Someone might just need this.
Before I go on to explain the traffic means, let me add that it is very neccessary to hide your affiliate link before promoting them. This can be done through domain forwarding (from your domain name's control panel), php redirect (to be uploaded in your website hosting's cpanel file manager in the public_html) or link cloarking (using services like tinyurl.com, bit.ly (pls don't use adf.ly or any other related service), etc).

@segiade. Firstly, let me make it clear that website/blog is just an option and except zou have one with a good search engine ranking, you're better off without it. We would talk about it all.
Plimus pays via paypal and payoneer
Paydotcom pays via check and paypal
      Ejunkie pays via paypal
      Clickbank pays via check.
      Info-mart pays via fastecash

      Re: Affiliate Marketing Ultimate Thread

One more thing before moving on. This is more advance and not reall necessary but is a WIN WIN. Some marketers don't send their traffic directly to the sales page. The create a kind of landing page/optin page to make the prospect signup to their mailing list before sending them to the sales page. The reason is to capture their email address so that they can be able to contact them later for another offer. It could be another affiliate product or their own product. This can be done using a getresponse or aweber account (cost some $$), you will also need a domain and a hosting account where you will put your landing page. You may ask for help if you even wanted to do this. But don't forget you don't really need it.

      Re: Affiliate Marketing Ultimate Thread

Pls note that there are 3 different links we've been talking about, the one you're going to be using is to be determined by you. You're going to be using one and so whenever I mentioned aff link, you should understand I mean the one you choosed.
Let me remind you of them to avoid confusion...
      1. Your original affiliate link. Just as raw as you got it to promote the product fron your affiliate website.
      2. Cloarked/hidden link. The one you hide with tinyurl, bit.ly etc and the ones you forwarded using your domain names
      3. Landing page link.
      Don't get it twisted pls

      First promotion method
      Forums:
I myself already under estimate the power of forums in internet marketing. These forums as we all know are where people of the same views interacts. For example mtv is about making money online, there are forums about dating, there are some about health, there are many about sports, insurance, forex, stock, cars, tax, finance, to name just a few. You will almost find a forum for every niche. General forums are also not a bad idea.

To find a forum targeting a niche, use http://www.big-boards.com to get them. You can as well use search engines to get some more (Select like 3 and register).
Select a product relating to the particular niche of the forums you selected.
For example, if you select dating, you may look for something like how to get girls, how to know if a girl wants you, and so on. I could be an ebook, video, etc.

      You welcome @NIKATA123.
Join the forums and try to get popular. Get to know people. Help them by answering their questions (you don't need to be an expert use google, wikipedia and whatever you can to get solutions for them). But be very careful not to really make friends it can affect your business. Just try to be a little jovier, but make it look official a bit.
      Selecting a niche:
I used to advice people to go for their hobbies. But dating, health and make money online are hot.
      Check the forum's rule:
Make sure you check the forum's rule before going ahead to create an account with them. This is to make sure they are okay for this. It will also help you not to step beyond your boundaries.
[b]It is good to have your user/display name look very well like offers you will be promoting. For example, if I'm to be promoting dating ebooks, I can have my username as datingexpert. Just be creative.
The real deal comes through the signature. I shall be back. I'm just trying to make this simple as I can

      Thanks for the recommendation!

I'd also like to mention that, in addition to our other services, Payoneer offers a US Payment Service which allows you to receive US ACH payments from select US corporations. Application to this service is open to all Payoneer cardholders, and is subject to approval by our US Payment Service department (to apply, contact our Customer Support department). Also feel free to PM me for further details.
