An asset or item that is purchased with the hope that it will generate income or appreciate in the future. In an economic sense, an investment is the purchase of goods that are not consumed today but are used in the future to create wealth. In finance, an investment is a monetary asset purchased with the idea that the asset will provide income in the future or appreciate and be sold at a higher price.
The building of a factory used to produce goods and the investment one makes by going to college or university are both examples of investments in the economic sense.
In the financial sense investments include the purchase of bonds, stocks or real estate property.
Be sure not to get 'making an investment' and 'speculating' confused. Investing usually involves the creation of wealth whereas speculating is often a zero-sum game; wealth is not created. Although speculators are often making informed decisions, speculation cannot usually be categorized as traditional investing.

The Code of Hammurabi (around 1700 BC) provided a legal framework for investment, establishing a means for the pledge of collateral by codifying debtor and creditor rights in regard to pledged land. Punishments for breaking financial obligations were not as severe as those for crimes involving injury or death.
In the early 1900s purchasers of stocks, bonds, and other securities were described in media, academia, and commerce as speculators. By the 1950s, the term investment had come to denote the more conversative end of the securities spectrum, while speculation was applied by financial brokers and their advertising agencies to higher risk securities much in vogue at that time. Since the last half of the 20th century, the terms speculation and speculator have specifically referred to higher risk ventures.

Investments are often made indirectly through intermediaries, such as pension funds, banks, brokers, and insurance companies. These institutions may pool money received from a large number of individuals into funds such as investment trusts, unit trusts, SICAVs etc. to make large scale investments. Each individual investor then has an indirect or direct claim on the assets purchased, subject to charges levied by the intermediary, which may be large and varied. It generally does not include deposits with a bank or similar institution. Investment usually involves diversification of assets in order to avoid unnecessary and unproductive risk.

The term investment is usually used when referring to a long-term outlook. This is the opposite of trading or speculation, which are short-term practices involving a much higher degree of risk. Financial assets take many forms and can range from the ultra safe low return government bonds to much higher risk higher reward international stocks. A good investment strategy will diversify the portfolio according to the specified needs. The most famous and successful investor of all time is Warren Buffet. In March 2013 Forbes Magazine had Warren Buffet ranked as number 2 in their Forbes 400 list. Buffet has advised in numerous articles and interviews that a good investment strategy is long term and choosing the right assets to invest in requires due diligence. Edward O. Thorp was a very successful hedge fund manager in the 1970’s and 80’s that spoke of a similar approach. Another thing they both have in common is a similar approach to managing investment money.

This is completely and absolutely 100% genuine!
Here's my referral link:

what is Banners Broker?

Banners Broker is huge advertising company, who makes a lot of money by renting ads spots to website that want to advertise.
Let me try to explain you all of what BB does in simple way:
Here is a very simplified version of what Banners Broker do and how they operate so you can see for yourself how the money making potential is not only possible, but completely legitimate.

For the purposes of making things as easy as possible, I will avoid use of technical terms where possible and break things down into the simplest possible language.

Think of all the times you have been driving and seen advertising billboards. These billboards are sitting on some land which is owned by someone. The owner of the land erects the billboard in order to make some money advertising to the passers by.

He employs the services of an advertising agency to find an advertiser. In this case he contacts Banners Broker (great choice!) Banners Broker pay the owner a fee for the use of that Billboard.

Banners Broker then find an advertiser willing to pay for the use of this billboard. They have many potential advertisers looking for just this sort of billboard so they find someone right away. The advertiser agrees to pay a fee to Banners Broker for the use of this billboard.

The difference between what Banners Broker charges the advertiser and what they paid the billboard owner is their profit. This is how advertising agencies work and how they make their money.

how do we get a share of this?

By opening your Banners Broker account, what you are doing is a ‘hiring’ or ‘renting’ this advertising space that Banners Broker have already purchased so that you can use it to make money, the same way they did. Obviously, you don’t know enough about online advertising to do this yourself so you ask Banners Broker to do the work for you. So here is a simplified version of how it works. Let's say Banners Broker pay the Billboard owner 1 bag of money for the billboard. You have an account at Banners Broker and rent the billboard from them.

Let's say Banners Broker charge you also 1 bag of money for this billboard. Banners Broker will now find an advertiser to put their advertisement on that billboard.

Let's say that Banners Broker charge the advertiser 4 bags of money. There are thousands of cars that drive past there every day so they are delighted to pay for this prime spot of advertising.

Banners Broker have an agreement with you. They have told you that when a certain number of cars have driven past this particular billboard, they will pay you TWICE what it cost you in the first place. So when the required number of cars have driven past then they pay you back 2 bags of money.
The owner of the billboard is delighted. He received a bag of money for his billboard and would never have found an advertiser to pay that in the first place if he had not used an agency like Banners Broker.

The advertiser is delighted. He was able to advertise his product on a billboard that is on a very busy stretch of road that he would never have heard about if it had not been for Banners Broker.

Banners Broker are delighted. They paid 1bag of money for the Billboard, they got 4 bags from the advertiser so they were 3 bags in profit to start, you then paid them 1 bag of money for the use of the billboard but they paid you 2 bags of money in return later. So they are in profit to the tune of 2 bags of money.

You are completely ecstatic. You paid 1 bag of money to use that ad space and then Banners Broker paid you back 2 bags when enough cars had driven past. You got back twice as much - Everybody wins!

So when you contact me or read about Banners Broker and you see mention of the fact that you can get back twice as much as you pay, try not to be too sceptical. This simple illustration proves that it is completely reasonable and entirely true.

So, if there is that much money to be made, why don’t Banners Broker just cut out people like you or I and just do it all themselves and keep everything?

In addition to people like us who want to use Banners Broker to run a successful online business, they are offering an invaluable service to companies that want to advertise their products and website owners looking to make money from advertising. That side of the business is currently dominated by the likes of Google.

continue in the next post...
