I've been using Joomla for some time now and dont have that much exposure to WordPress. Anyone care to advice which of the two is a better content management system for web design.

I suggest you to use wordpress once and then decide on your own. For many designers and users, wordpress is more easy compared to joomla. I found tha plugin system lets it extend more effectively and is also a good thing to manage. But all this comes with little learning curve compared to joomla. This is my opinion, so you have to try wordpress once before you can compare them.

I suppose you are right as its not easy to compare two things whereas you have not used the other. My concern is just that I'm at a point where I can achieve almost everything with joomla easily. So why should I switch to the other side and go through the learning process.
Hopefully utilising the two will offer some pros and cons to help make the choice.

Joomla and Wordpress both are used for developing blogs and websites. Both are programming language but with different structure. Now it depends on different users or programmers that which one among Joomla and Wordpress they can learn it nicely within a short span of time accordingly they choose out of it. That is my concept about it.
