Last Poster Contest - Prizes upto $25 for every 1000 posts

Hello dear members

This is a chat contest where members will be paid randomly at the end of every round.

What you need to do in order to participate and win?
- Simply start posting in the thread.

How are the winners chosen?
- Once every 1000 posts are completed we will random pick winners using random.org

What are the prizes
- I've organised the prizes so that many members can benefit from it. Once every 1000 posts, 40 random posts will be picked. Each post attracts one reward = $0.2. That reward will be awarded to member who posted that post.
- Then we will pick the Top 4 members who have the maximum rewards. And award them separately.

Top 4 Posters:
1st Prize = $4
2nd Prize = $3
3rd Prize = $2
4th Prize = $1
5th Prize = $0.5

Other than this we will pick random posts and award them $1 for every round. These are surprise prizes.

Payments will be paid via Liberty Reserve

I think it is down to the usage of words. If i shouldn't have used 'more' or i should have used 'another' but the bottomline is that all things being equal there should be another round of contest when this is over.

I am sorry monyitomon for the scare it must have brought when your number of posts and MTV$s went backward. I have noticed it but i think it was due to the updates that the admin had to do to the site. For now be rest assured that everything is back to normal.

Hum David, i guess i've clarified the issue and i'll be a lot clearer now. There will be five different winners in this round. It will be impossible for one person to be the only winner as this is a gross misunderstanding of what this contest is all about.

Of course random choice will be made with the help of a software or random.org.
The more you post the more will be the chance of winning.
If you post 2 posts out of 100 then your assumption for chance of winning is correct.

Ouch, now I see that the prizes have been severely reduced.

All 5 positions have been reduced to 50%

The 3 positions per 1000 posts have also been reduced 50%

And the last Posters Prize has been reduced by 60%.

Overall, contestants now get less than 50% than previously.

Sorry guys there is so much work to be handled I forget to re visit the threads.

Ok so about your suggestion on increasing the number of winners:
- From 101 to posts till now there are hardly 5 active members. Its hard to choose 5 different users where do you expect me to award 10 members when there are only 5 members posting. You see the problem?
- And I use random.org to pick winners. Now everytime it picks anyone similar I'll have to change the format. It is impossible to pick 10 random unique posters here, when there aren't 10 unique members to pick from. When there are more members and some revenue from the forum I'll increase the number of prizes.

Now the reason for reducing the prizes is that I am concentrating on developing the forum in as many forms as possible. Anyways $1 for 5 members per 100 posts is more than fair in my opinion.

From the time they've restricted the history for a 14 day limit it has proven a pain. You need to keep on changing the date range in order to find the particular transaction.
They atleast left the option to us to choose the 14 day range. Imagine if they restricted it to the latest 14 days.

Yeah, i think the RCB idea is great but it takes a lot of economics to get active referrals. But i would want to know more about the idea.
