tweeter closest competitor

i was looking for tweeter's competitor and i found out that there at least 20 of them just take a look at this link tweeter competitor (http://venturebeatprofiles.com/company/profile/twitter/competitors) who do you think is the closet one and the mostly likely threat to it's status?

who are they anyway? i don't see any of them as a threat to twitter.. i looked some of them, most of them looks fancy.. i don't know if they are really serious like twitter..

I like http://identi.ca/ Its really neat and looks like a competitor to twitter , the interface looks really similar, all i could find was that the color scheme was different... from Twitter :)

Well I have not heard about identi may be I will not tell much about this topic but I will stick to twitter. Because I think It to be the best.

I dont think there are sites that can beat the popularity of tweeter...not now. Maybe in the future if people got tired using it and found a new site with new feature that is more than what tweeter can give.

if one of these new breed competitors will have an innovation someday.. they might end the reign of twitter.. not now.. but maybe in the future.. who knows..

Among the list indicated here, I only know Plurk and nothing else. :D Plurk is really similar with Twitter, but I still find twitter more appealing than Plurk that's why its standing really went down. Well, not matter how many competitors Twitter has, the important thing here is that Twitter is the most popular among them. It's hard to attain this kind of status/standing already knowing that Twitter has a lot of users and affiliate sites already.

yeah right but i guess if they can attract 3 or 5 big celebrities that are high profile they could a create an exodus but i hope one of them could give twitter a run for their money,it's great to have a choice..

Yeah,i too don't think any site can come out of no where and beat twitter right now.Though from the listed sites,i will say that tweetup is the only site i can say can match up with twitter.Though they are not the same in appearance and policy but i see it as another site that is nearly the same as twitter.

COmpetitors of Twitter, no matter how many they are, they really cannot overpower Twitter. Yes, of course, all sites have their respective competitors, but still, if they want to be the better one, they should make some ways for users to get attracted. Plurk is one of TWitter's competitor, but look at it. Plurk doesn't have so many members compared to TWitter. It's because twitter is more familiar and more benefits than Plurk.

once you lead the pack every body seems want to take you down and twitter seems to know that,marketing wise ,they've done everything to market their service and any close competitor will find it really tough to even get close..

twitter is one of best social networking site today. It has a better timeline than facebook but it lacks other features which is available to other SNSites. Twitter is best if you just want to read tweets from your following and followers. You can tweet also. No other activities, just tweet and tweet.
