My first impression of Photoshop was:
- It's not suitable for slow computers. :D
This is quite true as Photoshop and its latest versions require lots of disk space & RAM.
However, you can also download the portable version instead (no installations involved) so that it won't take up much disk space and accumulate much RAM (save up to 95%) + you will be able to 'carry' it anywhere & used it in any computer suitable since there are no installations involved and it's just usually around 1-100mb (usual Photoshop is more than 1gb, eh? 1gb = 1000 mb)!
What about you? What were your first impressions for Photoshop? :D
I went crazy with this. It was my first step into computer generated graphics, and I just loved it.I was excited as it made me able to work in a new way.

Oh! Photoshop was also one of my first steps in computer graphics. Well.. I've used previous photo-editing softwares but they were just for photo-editing as ever.
Photoshop changed that all as we can also use it for photo-manipulation and various others. :D
I was excited as it made me able to work in a new way.
Hmmm.. You mentioned that it also changed your ability to work. Are actually accepting projects for graphics design from different clients?
Thanks a bunch :D
Welcome to the community :)
I hope you'll enjoy your posting here. :D

During the first time that I'm going to use Photoshop, I really thought that it's just like other simple image editors out there. But after going through the different tools available here, it made me realize that it even takes years for one to be a Photoshop expert. Until now, I don't know still some of the important tools here, but still, I can say that I'm one of the lucky people who was able to learn how to use Photoshop.

My first impression about photoshop is that it is a wonderful software. Before I got my own copy of this software, I heard that most graphic artists uses this to enhance and modify photos. It can also restore very old photos. So, I'm very happy that I met this software at last. :)

Ahahaha! LOL! >=) It's really messy (especially when you're not yet familiarized with it) xD I also consumes a lot of RAM so slow computers might crash if you open it. ^_^

Before, I thought Photoshop is just easy to learn just like other image editors like Photofiltre, and other more. But I foiund out that there are a lot of tools here in Photoshop, and that you can do almost anything here. I've tried doing some graphic arts already, but it isn't really that excellent/perfect compared to other people's works.

My first impression of Photoshop? It was something new and difficult. Even if I experimented someone would know that I did. :D It still is for me. Sadly I am one of those people who lacks the talent. But I love Photoshop. It just doesn't love me back. ;)

For me Photoshop is really very difficult to learn. I am just a newbie when it comes to photo editing. I'm really willing to learn more about Photoshop. I'm not that talented when it comes to arts.

During the first time that I've heard this application, I thought it was just an ordinary photo or image editor like Paint, etc. I didn't know that Photoshop is the most powerful image editor used by graphic designers, webmasters, etc. Which means, it's really hard to be an expert here.

My first impression with Photoshop? It's complicated. LOL :D ,I just thought that it's hard to use cause lots of tabs and options you are going to click and there's also about to enter a specific sizes and numbers, it's make me sick to understand how it works. But after trying it with a users manual. It's not that hard to understand the uses.

I had it in my computer I guess for months when my PC is new but I just keep ignoring it since it's already installed on my PC, I just thought that I'll just have a headache if I give it a try to use this applications because as I can see in some photo printing, there are so many tabs that you must click and its really make my eyes rolled crazy! LOL :D

hahaha :) If you don't know about photoshop for sure this software will give you headaches. I find it very difficult to use at first. All you need is patience, they said patience is virtue. You have to find some ways to learn how to use that software if you really want to. But if you think that this will not give you anything then you just have to ignore it.

My first impression of it was it was very easy. I thought you could edit a picture in a snap! but it's the other way around, you really have to spend much time editing pictures. So i'm a bit disappointed.

oh by the way, if you don't want to use the full version of Photoshop CS4 because it has high requirements, use the compressed micro version it's only 54mb, that's what i'm using right now, very smooth to use. :)

I'm also afraid to use this on the first time but when i tried and tried until i learned the basic i really to start working hard so that i can learn more. At first you will find it very hard because you don't know some basics, but if you continue using it you will notice that it is quite easy to use.

if you really know the basics you can learn the other tricks from the internet. there's a lot of existing tutorials now as well as in eBook and even in YouTube. so if you really wanna learn something there's a lot of way to do it. Photoshop really helps a lot in our economy now. you will find why if you try to earn it. :p

First time i've learned what is photoshop and what is for, I said to myself "oh! so cool! great software indeed!"
The next impressions when i am into it already I felt it will be hard for me to deal with it, so just played with it. Happy to say now, I have ideas and know already how to use it.
