Norton is huge memory hog, Avast seems to be ok but I use NOD32. There's small problems regarding having NOD32 with proper license, unless you pay for it, but it can be fixed. ;)

i prefer avast because the free service id forver if you want! need more security you have to buy thr full version but norton are shareware and they add it into many free programs to force you to join them!

I once made a survey in TechDoctorDeals as to what they think is the worst AV and Norton comes in 1st place with AVG. So far, Avast wasn't nominated so I guess I'll stick with Avast.

It's Norton !
It is quite possibly the best. It updates itself several times per day, automatically quarantines dangerous files and does not slow down your PC noticeably (even with low system specs).

I had avast before, but unforunately i got a virus that slow down my computer and internet so much, and avast didnt respond or catch it, but then i found Kaspersky i downloaded it,,it is really good and it stopped the work of this virus ( not deleting it )..

Kaspersky anti-virus bug too strong a few times but the important information in dealing with a black screen. But i don't like them

All people say that antivirus slow down the PC.
they are correct but as you mentioned Norton is best because bow the Symantic company had made the antivirus too lite and slowing down of PC is less compared to other Antivirus.
The Avast is the Worst.

I think that norton it's better but how somebody says here ... norton is using big % of your memory, so if you have a good enough computer for norton, use norton but if your computer is slower, i recommend you to use avast

Depends on you and I am using Avast Free Antivirus and it is lite and does not slows the computer and gives me free updates everyday and only we need to register our e-mail address. Still now I am using it and no virus has attacked or affected my computer.

I prefer avast and I am one of the user of it. Avast blocks the website that are full of virus and open it in safe portion with sandbox which don't let the virus to be attacked into your computer. Norton do make our computer safer with virus but it makes our computer slow than using the avast. I suggest you to use avast unless you use the licensed norton antivirus.
