I have already tried to use this when i was still working offline. I have made an online loan application using this. And the result of the filled-out form was generated in a spreadsheet format.

I haven't tried it. Since I have my microsoft office 2010 in my pc, there's no need for me to use an online app like that. Maybe, it's useful for some who don't have office installed and for some who have problems in their MS Office. Emergency use.

well for my self im never use this feature..but i was ever look how this feature works..the feature is good enough because almost like a MS Excell..and i think more easy use this one than a Ms.Excell the problem just about the editing file if our connection is so slow..because we using online so will take so much bandwith :D we needed a fast connection if wish to use this feature from google.

Never used this application but i think this in a cool one. This is like Skydrive I think, where you can edit MS documents online and then download it when you need it. This will be very useful in some of the users that don't have their ms office installed on their computers.

i haven't but you can share your files online and can save it too through you gmail account. but you need full internet connection when your still working with your files. i hope that there is power point too. this is very cool for every student and workers in this world.

Well,I heard about it for first time.I had not used it before,but when today I used it,so I did not find any such big difference and quality in it.It is almost same like MS.Word..If you have MS.Word,so you don't need to use Google Docs because you can directly upload the file from your computer too.

No, I haven't tired because i am using some other website similar to Google docs,but i know it's best tool for online editing and create the files. Since in world of freeware one who don't have option or don't have money for purchasing the office software Google docs is good option for them.

it is convenient to use because it has the same keyboard shortcuts like in the Microsoft word. you can share those files through internet because they have a share folder feature. they also have drag and drop feature so it is more easy to put files there.

I used to work with google docs earlier but now switched to ZOHO docs recently because google doesn't allow simultaneous login and there is also issue of privacy. actually the feature inside this google docs not too much different like Ms.Office for sure...so we can use this one so easily without must learn again first..you can try it when you are far from your PC as example on Internet Cafe and they not have a Ms.Office..google docs is good choice for you to complete the task you need :D

That's exactly how I found Google docs as an interesting one. Even we are from our laptop.desktop, we can access it if we stored it to Google docs or if the internet cafe doesn't have Microsoft Office. It really helps us a lot. I'll try it nest time to see if it's very useful to me.

I'm using both zoho docs and google docs. I found zoho much better in terms of feature compared to google docs. But i guess zoho requires seperate login and for that many people use google. So if you want more features and pdf export and other stuff then try zoho.

That is also another alternative to Google Docs isnt it. That officelive is really a great application that we can use for Microsoft office applications especially that the storage you say is big. I will try that if I need something.

If you have hotmail account then you can use that service easily. I think for those who have MS office setup on their box can use it immediately. It loads as seperate window and lets you use office. I have also seen that if there is already office in the system they don't open their service and askyou to use that instead.

I already know about this feature before. And the good thing from this feature, it is online already, so we do not need to wait too long to upload the data into the internet. It is different if we have some programs like from Microsoft, we have to upload them first. But this one, we have to download the data to keep it in our file.

Connection wise google docs does have some issues. But new HTML5 storage will soon become standard and connection loss issues will be taken care of. So that problem is likely to be addressed in next few years and surely most online web doc editors will rise. MS office also has online service.

True. Office live and google docs can be used to make file backups. But i guess dropbox and skydrive should be used for the bckup isntead of apps in office. that way we can ensure the file version as well. In case of office live and google docs, it's hard to maintain file versions.

Absolutely correct, Google Docs is so useful for backing up our Office Files especially if those are important. We can just then be at ease because we know we have backup of our files in the Google Docs directory, which we can just use later on.

I haven't tried Google Docs but thanks that you pointed this out because I might never know. What I like with this Google docs is that it has indexed. I find it easier that it arranged my docs accurately. Having indexed is a big helped on finding docs.

One of my friend uses it too. I think they allow a lot of good features and you don't have to sign up again to another service for the same. I also think that soon they're going to get more visitors for their docs service if internet becomes cheap that is, or else this userbase will remain as it is.

I use googledocs to view an attachment posted online. It might be a pdf or a ppt file, I use googledocs to first check the content before downloading the file. I also use it to open files in docx format which my computer does not support.;)

You mean that attatchment was ppt? i don't know if they allow ppt viewer with google docs. but they do have pdf viewer though so yeah google docs could be used to view the attatchments. i might try myself by sending one attatchment atleast once to see.

google is a clare description of what you want to do, it was just like a template that gives you guide line on to prepare some official documents that you have not done for the first time. when you just type in the name of the document you want to prepare google docs will bring it out for you to edit the way you want it to be.

Last month google moved the contents of google notebook to google docs. i no longer have access to the google notebook. but i can tell you for sure that many folks lost their google docs due to account reset. so not sure if the amount of time spent on the google docs is anyway worthy. but it is quick though and works for some folks.

Well, thank you very much for the explanation about GDrive, and to show it is not the same with Google Docs. I read on the news that GDrive is not running anymore. So, instead of, Google is focusing on Google Docs feature.

I have tried this application when i provide services for providing keywords to people . I use docs for for storing those keywords and theu results and provide it to people and sometimes when my clients lost their data i have to provide them without again doing the research.

Since I have my Microsoft office 2010 in my pc, there's no need for me to use an online app like that. Maybe, it's useful for some who don't have office installed and for some who have problems in their MS Office. Emergency use. I wonder if there are so many people who use Google Docs. I wonder if there are so many people who use Google Docs. I think this kind of feature needs a connection on the Internet. yeah I worked in an SEO company before and we use Gdocs to make our work logs. The advantage of this is that you can write something and not worry where you will save it because it will be saved online and you can access it using another computer if there is an internet connection.
